Last night I had just pulled my cook off of the Egg (400°) and had closed everything up and it started POURING rain. The steam started coming off the dome and I was worried that it would cool too fast, contract too quickly, and crack. So yes, I did go stand next to my table with an umbrella over the Egg until the rain subsided to a drizzle. This morning I inspected and it seemed fine, we will see with tonight's cook. Am I being overly protective or just smart? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers!

You should probably go out there whenever it rains. I'm sure your egg appreciates it.

Not sure if the egg was happier with you there, but I'll bet you were. My egg always seems to improve my disposition.They/Them

Glad to hear my priorities are not too out of whack, I may still mount an umbrella holder on my table just in case...:-S
