I just bought a kamado joe jr, I was wondering if anyone knows if the high que grate for a medium will fit in the joe jr? I've had problems getting up to temp quickly

Getting up to temp quickly could be your lump as well.
I've noticed when I was swapping around, it's pretty inconsistent in time that it takes to get up to temp.
