    Was that chicken hatched this spring? Early to produce if it was? My Easter egger lays green eggs and lays bigger eggs than my others. It quit laying this winter when the temps dipped below -10 degrees, but about a month ago started laying an egg a day consistently. Don't know if it was cold related or what. Most of the chickens I've had don't start out laying an egg a day for a month or so.

    Yea this gal is just shy of 6 months. She was hatched January 21. Very surprised she was first as I have a set of RIR that haven't done anything yet. She's even put them in the nesting box.
