Who ya got?  Would be fun to see Lefty pull it off with all the media blowing up his story. Would also consider Scott and Mcilroy contenders.

I played #2. What a beast. Birdied the first hole and the caddy said, " You gonna do good!" - That was the end of that…….shot a 94!!
#7 might be one of the most beautiful courses ever.
    Lefty would be cool.

I will be pulling for Lefty but you can't discount Adam Scott or Bubba.

Really pulling for Mickelson in this one.  Talk about coming full circle.....what a story that would be.  He hasn't played well this year, but think he has a decent chance regardless and often shows up strong when everyone else has written him off.  Quality chipping and short game will come into play here even more so than most Open setups which really plays to his strength.

Have to like Scott and also like Mahan and Spieth.  I like Bubba, but don't think he has the patience or mindset to win at a US Open venue, but he could prove me wrong.  Of the Euros, I'd take Poulter over the others.

It is a long course, two par 4s are playing 520 yards, that is a 3 shot hole for me to get to the green. Based on Bubba's interview yesterday he is not comfortable on this course so even though he can bomb it I am not sure he will be able to hit driver a lot. For the Euros I wonder if Luke Donald will show up, incredible short game but he is not a long hitter.

Unfortunately, I don't predict Lefty to make the cut.

Would be great to see one of the lefty's pull it off.  Bubba or Phil.  Kuch or Speith would also be a good story.

Hey now! Ha, that is close, I don't think it would require the 2nd 3 wood though.

I'm going with the same group that always lets me down:

    Dustin Johnson
    Matt Kuchar
    Jason Dufner
    Rory McIlroy

Regardless.  Going to be an amazing weekend with the US Open and World Cup underway.  Can't wait!

The course will be tough, I except over par to win without rain, with rain even par or a few under.

i hope you are right smoking pig!  i love it when the courses make the guys really scramble....i know everyone loves birdies....but for me, i love it when these guys are making 7-8 ten footers for par each round in the us open......it just doesnt get better than that.

I'm voting for Justin Timberlake.  Wait.  Make that Justin Rose.  (Is he even in it?)  My wife went to school with him in Sherborne, England.

Speith is solid. The course is drying out getting a little tougher it appears. I was watching online earlier, no issues.

Off the fairway and greens #2 looks like a goat pasture - it never was a pretty course. I guess there's no such thing as an ugly golf course.
