Best of The West Charcoal is readily available in my area and is reasonably priced. Any input on the performance of this product would be greatly appreciated.

It is mediocre, but cheap. Every now and then you will find a piece that is extremely sparky. Lots of ash.

I have purchased a few bags over the years from Sam's. Really harsh smoke, lots of dust, lots of ash, and tons of popping. Despite it being cheap, I decided it wasn't worth it. I would never use it with more delicate flavored proteins like chicken or fish (NEVER!).Dallas (University Park), Texas
