New cedar build

New egg owner after years of being envious of friends that have one. Built table this weekend after getting plenty of ideas and tips from this site. Still plenty of coats of spar varnish to go plus paver and of course dropping the egg in, but this is how far I got in a weekend. Kreg Jig and some cold beer got me through it.

Best material for a table, that if used will really get the heck banged out of it - wise choice IMO.Kreg is fantastic tool, eh?Curious why you chose not to have any overhang on the top.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Looks great! While cedar is one of the best woods to use for these tables (it's what we use as well), be mindful that if you plan to roll the table around a lot that having the casters drilled into the cedar can/will give over time. Cedar is a great wood, but to support the weight of the Egg on all 4 casters that get banged up by cracks/divots in pavement, difference in tile heights, etc can easily cause cracks where the casters support the table. If you're not planning to move it much, no biggie! It really shouldn't be an issue, its just a precautionary word of advice, something to keep in mind if you plan to move the table at bbq events and Egg festivals etc. We drill ours into heavy duty exterior wood, just in case... however ours are typically hidden so its easy for us to do so while not compromising the looks/design of the table.Regardless, great looking table!What is this? A center for ants!?

SkiddyMarker...Just decided to go with a flush front. Thought about having about an inch overhang all around and routing it for smoothness but the rest of the table has only 90 degree turns so I just kept everything the same.
