I did install the rutland not too long ago. Not sure what gasket is on the base...I had nomex and did the top. I've heard rutland sucks anyway. Found some old RO and figured I'd burn it to set the gasket. Lord knows I'm not going to cook with it.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

I ate a piece of Rutland by accident once and next thing I know I'm getting a 5 pound tumor removed from my upper lip.
That said, I just ordered some Rutland on Amazon for my large.

@henapple-dang, you are hard on that BGE. Too much cooking and PBR or just quality control issues-hell shoulda held out for the dome as well. Enjoy the near-new ride

Gasket? What's a Gasket? Never heard of ceramic causing cancer.

You can use RO as long as you have Jameson with the meal. Kills the cancer germs, don'cha know.

@hennaple - when you toast that felt gasket I know a guy that will hook you up with a Rutland gasket.
