Georgia ranked top in BBQ by Tripadvisor

Options
I dont agree with the ranking because I think Texas (Austin in particular) should be ranked #1.  I travel on business and not many people think about Georgia but it has some excellent BBQ.

I would have thought Texas or Kansas myself. #2 joint on the list , Oklahoma Joe's is awesome, Every time I went to Kansas for business trips I ate there.

That is not doing justice for Texas BBQ.
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

North Carolina should be #1, then Texas at #2.

    To quote John Besh:
"Truth is, we have so many preconceived notions about 'real' barbecue that if you come from a barbecue state, you're probably already too biased for civil discussion."

If you want your mind blown, consider that last year TripAdvisor had a valuation around $11B. That's billion with a B, my friends. All for a website where people complain about the color of the drapes in their hotel rooms.

Speaking of billions, here is some completely off topic trivia to demonstrate the difference between one million and one billion.

If you were to count off one million seconds, it would be about 11 and a half days. If you counted off one billion seconds, it would be about 32 years.
