Rim liner change?

Hey everyone! New to the forum, but per the questions and ideas, it's exactly why I joined! Had my egg for approximately a year and a half. I have not changed my rim felt liner yet and was wondering when you should. The egg still cooks awesome but wondering if I'm losing heat?

That's the gasket (search "gasket" here and you will get tons of info).

If it's still working, no reason to change it, IMO.

If it's leaking smoke, change it. Very easy to do with some acetone.

No leaking of smoke just a little wrinkled on the edges

use it until it is falling off= and watch for leakage too (of smoke)

when you do change it out, use an shop razor blade to scrape off the gunk, use some acetone to clean it up and when that's dry, get some packing tape and use the sticky side to lift out any last bits of crud hanging on. Install the new one and I prefer the gaskets that have the adhesive already on them, but I've done both. the non-pre-adhesive gaskets have probably a little more durability as you control how much sticky heat resistant stuff to put on but it's the convenience factor that wins the day for me on the ones with the adhesive already applied.
