Spatchcock . . . where are the wings?

I brined a full chicken on THURS for 12 hours, let it sit in the fridge overnight, and grilled it raised direct last night.  Always money - could be my favorite thing on the egg.  

Funny story . . . I always check my spatchcocks after 45 mins with my Thermopen. Wings are normally done at this point, so 99% of the time I yank them off the grill and eat them outside!  I have even done this with a thigh before.  Last night my wife called me out and said . . . . Do spatchcocks have wings?  "where are they?   BUSTED.  

Anybody else pull spatchcock parts early?
