meatloaf and roasted taters

was making meatloaf and wanted something different with the potatoes, this worked basted with the drippings til brown

Those taters look fantastic. Interesting idea to peel them first. I imagine they soaked up the bacon grease better that wayLoaf looks excellent as well!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Does your bacon on the meatloaf get crispy? I've tried it before and never gotten great results.LBGEMenasha, WI

it actualy did get some crisp, not sure why as usually it doesnt, maybe adding some grease back on it late in the cook helped as well as being high in the dome. i saved most of the bacon for bacon and meatloaf sandwiches for on the boat sunday. the bacon also lifted up during the cook, matybe because the loaf was somewhat flatter than a traditional shaped loaf, and i used a fair amount of dry onion flake that may have soaked up some moisture that would normally be there under the bacon, i dont know
