Picked up a couple of pieces of Flounder last night for tonight's supper. I have yet to cook this kind of fish. Any recommendations of recipes that you would suggest??

For a first time I would blacken it in a CI and serve with a veggie of your choice... Using a blackening seasoning that's got some kick and maybe top it with a sweet mango salsa

I marinate flounder in red wine vinegar for about an hour or so then cook raised direct on a fish grid at about 325 or so dome. It doesn't take long at all like that, as soon as it starts to flake pull it off.Watkinsville, Ga XL, Medium

Please tell about the mix on your marinade.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
I have lemons and dill. What do you think about cooking in a parchment pouch?-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

No mix, just straight red wine vinegar. That works well on mahi mahi as well.Watkinsville, Ga XL, Medium

I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

Salt and pepper. Melt butter and stir in little bit minced garlic. Brush on both sides of fillet. When just about done sprinkle on grated Parm and brown under oven broiler to finish.Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Mmm, I love flounder! I like to make a mixture of tarragon, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper -- toss it all in a small chopper and blend. Brush the tarragon and garlic mixture on the flounder (just lightly seasoned with S&P) and grill direct at about 400F until it flakes. You'll want to oil the grate/skin.
I’ve cooked it like this in the oven, too.

Blacken them on a CI skillet with some chef Paul's blacken seasoning. Serve them with a lemon wedge and a dollop of capers. If it ain't a CAT, it's a dog!!! 2 LBGE's & BGE Backyard Chef Edition Cart

Took a little of everyone's suggestion and added a twist. My lemon looked bad so I went with oranges in a layer in the CI skillet. Veggies were squash, zucchini and baby sweet peppers After warming the the CI and oranges I moved it up onto the half moon grid while the veggies cooked down low When veggies were about 2/3rds cooked I swapped positions to help the flounder get done the same time as veggies And plated up. Just put S&P with a small amount of dizzy dust and dill on the flounder. It was really good-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.
