XL Pork Butt Question

BOWHUNRBOWHUNR Posts: 1,479
O.K. experienced XL guys.  I got my XL in November and have not cooked on it yet.  In fact, it's still sitting on a pallet in the box.  I'm cooking pork butts for a graduation in May and was wondering how many 7-8 lb. butts I can get on a single level?  I have done eight (4 ea.) on my two larges  with swing racks, but really want to get the XL rolling for this cook.

Thanks,

Mike

I got 3 10 pounders on each level with a bit of space left. I'll bet you could get 4 of that size on a single level and still be within the shadow of the platesetter.

  • On an XL you should easily be able to fit 4-5 8pounders on a single level.
