I only have five or six Bookmarks, and this is the only one I refer to constantly:A mistake I made a lot when I first got an Egg, was trying to dial in the temp precisely: open, too hot, close, too cold, open, yadayadayada. I now leave the daisy wheel off for anything 300 or higher, and on (with vents open) for any low-und-slows; dial in the temp with the lower vent only, using GG's guidance for starters. And, I no longer chase 230 F if my egg settles in nice at 240F; ain't worth it and makes no difference in the cook.Anybody know what happened to Grandpa Grub? I haven't seen a post from him in a long time...:-S

I have been saving recipes from both foums since '03 and other BBQ sites, currently have over 8000+ in Living cookbook format. Happy to share if interested.

I don't have any bookmarks food related. I just google stuff and if I want to use it, I copy it to a Word doc and save it in a recipe's folder. Then when I use it, if I want to modify some, i do. For one, trying to eliminate having lots of leftovers all the time, I modify recipes that call for a 1 lb of hamburger etc down to 1/2 lb hamburger and reduction of everything else as well to correspond.
and it is very rare that I follow any recipe exactly. One thing I do a lot is google and find 3 or 4 recipes for the same dish. I review what they have in common and what they have that is different.
I think about what I like and don't like, and then make my own recipe based on the recipes I found and what I want to use or not use.
Large BGE in a Sole' Gourmet Table

and a BBQ Guru temp controller.
Medium BGE in custom modified off-road nest.

Yeah, that's a draw back on some that I've bookmarked but if I want to add notes I can add a post to it.I kept reading FTC and wondering what that stood for and ended up with another bookmark:XL Owner
