Charcoal Question...Is it really the same?!?

I just finished by 1st bag of BGE charcoal. I'm going to order 5 bags of Rockwood from Firecraft but need a bag or two until that comes. I've been hearing that Royal Oak and BGE charcoal are the same thing. Just happened to walk by a stack at WalMart and saw it for $8.00 for 17lb bag. That price seems incredible based on what you pay for BGE charcoal. Is it really the same stuff? I did buy a bag to check it out? Also if it is the same stuff does anyone know if that's an everyday price or special order. (Wondering if I need to load up?)

I pay 14$ for the royal oak. So I might have to take a trip to Walmart. Naked wiz site did a review of different brands. It's a good read. I only use royal oak and that's because it's so easily accessible. I think it's good. Thats a sale walmart has going right now, but home depot keeps that size bag in stock for $13. I think all of us royal oak users stocked up on the wal mart sale though.

The WM $8 for 17.6 is just this week only so buy and save now. As for RO making BGE lump it is not a myth...it is even printed on the BGE sack that it is made by RO!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

I hate Royal Oak. Finally finished up the snow storm supply and am back to OO. as Warren Buffet says -"Price is what you pay, Value is what you get" I am going for value (as I perceive it).Milton, GA.
