BIG GREEN EGG INTRODUCES NEW MINI-MAX PORTABLE GRILL AT HPB EXPO IN SALT LAKE CITY

I was pretty shocked to see it myself!

Big Green Egg has announced today the release of the newest offering to it’s quiver of cookers.  It is called the Mini-Max and it was unveiled today at the Hearth, Patio, and Barbecue Expo in Salt Lake City, UT.

You can tell some serious thought and work went into this one.  The first thing you notice from the exterior is that the thermometer is about twice as large as the thermometers on the current Big Green Egg offerings.

When you open the Mini-Max, it has the same cooking area as the Small Big Green Egg, 13 inches in diameter.  But what is noticeably different is that the bottom fire grate on the Mini-Max measures 10.5 inches across. In comparison, the bottom fire grate on the Small Big Green Egg measures in about half that size at 5.5 inches.  This means more air flow for the Mini-Max and more control over what you are cooking.  The Mini-Max sits under 20 inches tall but seems to have an impressive amount of surface area for its size.

Here it sits on the Left beside a Large and a Mini.  If I could only take that hat trick of eggs home from the show…
