Rebar fortified Big Green Egg?

With so many people busting their Egg, it seems to me that Big Green Egg should build them using a steel rebar skeleton. What am I missing?

I don't think it would work because of the expansion and contraction due to the heat. Wouldn't the metal and ceramic be at different rates and cause stress cracks?

Either way, the only time someone has busted their egg is if it's been dropped, blown over, etc. It's still going to damage it with or without. Anything else and it's warranty.

Viking used to cover a primo in stainless steel and charge big bucks for it. Looked cool.

Either way, if the thing tips over the ceramic is still going to break. .032" is not going to absorb the impact.
