I love the smell of Turkey on the Egg

The turkey breast is almost done. I seasoned under skin with DP Shakin' the Tree and over skin with Tsunami Spin and cherry wood for smoke. Smells amazing. I already ate dinner and was planning on putting this in the fridge and slicing tomorrow for lunch meat but I won't be able to resist.

weird, one side(breast) turned out so tender and juicy, just awesome...the other was kinda dry and had that "stick to your teeth" type texture. It wasn't bad but definitely not as good as the other side. I guess I had a hot spot and didn't turn the bird soon enough. Oh well, at least half of it was amazing.

Too late now, but if you want to drive your neighbors nuts with the smell while egging a turkey breast or whole turkey for that matter, then just toss a large onion in the center of the glowing coals when you put the meat on! Trust me!!!

Turkey looks nice jls9595. Now, how did you do your set up? Indirect? and what temp? I was wanting to try smoking turkey breast for the same reason as you for lunch meat but I wasn't too sure how to approach it. Thanks!!!!

Raised direct 400* to 160 internal. This one took about an hour. I cut the backbone out but next time I'll probably cut the breast in half since one side cooked a little faster.

Want to cook up a couple turkey breasts for the weekend and want to see what is a good temperature to cook at and should the breast be brined. Does it make a big difference- what is a good brine recipe.
