I'm at the critical stage of building the base for the egg. Myquestion concerns the hole cut out. How much room is needed to allow for the hinge to open down in the table? I'm trying to set the egg as deep as possible into the table. I have a 24" opening for the hole to be cut and for the hinge cutout. Do I have enough room? Until I know, I cant set the height for the base. It's a tough measurement for me get , but I know I've seen plenty of tables with a opening cut for the hinge. Any help is appreciated.
