Reverse TRex - How ??

I have a nice 1 1/2" thick sirloin. Usually Trex them but thought I would try the reverse process I've been hearing about. Anyone have the details on how to do this ???

Memphis,being 1 1/2 inches would be a bit thin to try. A tri-tip would be fine. Basicly its a slow cook till the inside reaches your temp, say 125, then rest for about 15 minutes, then sear at high lava flame.
