Just checked out the latest forecast for the next storm... looks like we are in the 12-18"+ range with high winds and all that jazz. Thinking about heading to Wegman's later to see what is still available that I could egg during the storm. Still have butt from last week in the fridge, so maybe a small brisket flat instead, maybe something else... Ham?
Who knows... have to see what the hoards have left. There will likely be no eggs, milk, or bread to be had LOL

I was at wegs today (although way up from you) it was nuts. I went with the turkey breast (bone in) it was under 15$. Good luck with the snow. Our forecasters are predicting 6". But what do they knowLBGE& SBGE———————————————•———————– Pennsylvania / poconos

These guys have been the most accurate all winter with their storm calls...
Downingtown is located just about 1/2" to the left of the bottom of the P in Philadelphia on this map. So either way 10-15" or 12-18"; its going to be interesting...
Hoping the power stays on this time for everyone...

Yep, that puts me right in the 12-18" band. I'll just need to shovel the deck every hour or so on Thursday.

Good Luck hapster! If we get another 12" or more, I think I'd go into a HUGE state of depression. This has been a loooooong winter. I'm ready for some change. My PitMaster IQ120 FREAKIN ROCKS!!!!!!! Current BGE arsenal: XL & MiniMax

Yep, 12-18 band here in Hershey, PA too. I'm a teacher so I don't think I'll be working on Thursday or Friday. I told my wife that I need to find something to egg. Feeling the urge to smoke something but don't know what. I'm thinking maybe a pulled beef. I've never made it before so why not! this will also give me a chance to make lots for leftovers so I can hit the slopes and the wife won't have to cook.Mark Annville, PA

Everybody stay safe. Hope nobody loses power, and if it must happen, doesn't stay gone for long.

Looks like 12 - 15 here in Camp Hill as well. Sending Mrs. TJ to the store in the AM against my better judgement (she is off work and I'm tied up). Always prefer to pick out my own meat. Never know what she will pick, but whatever I'll Egg it. Stay safe everyone. Can't wait for Global Warming to kick in.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. That map seems to be based off of the NAM predictions which are typically ambitious. GFS model is about 60% of what NAM suggests.

Ok, per that one I'm in 8-12". 8-12" or 12-18", either way, a bunch. )Eggcelsior said:That map seems to be based off of the NAM predictions which are typically ambitious. GFS model is about 60% of what NAM suggests.

The weather.com page is so hyperbolic. IMMINENT WINTER ICE STORM IMMINENT!!! PREPARE TO DIE!!!"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Exactly. I like the ambitious one better. More snow = more fun.

Local weather now calling for just 4-6 inches here in Camp Hill. Most severe going to be south and east of here. Sorry Hap.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

Stay safe, brother! We are getting a bad ice storm. Everything will be closed tomorrow. Possibly Thursday as well. Jim Cantore is in town, so that's never a good sign. Got cookies, chips, crackers, candles, charcoal, meat and water. So hopefully things will go smoothly. I'm going to push my table o' eggs into the kitchen here in a little bit to keep them from getting hit by a down limb or tree.

Just got back from Wegmans... LOL
Was able to get most of what I was after. Got all the stuff for the stuffed burgers and I was going to try making a Kale & Anduie(sp) soup from Emeril, but they were totally out of kale so I am going to sub spinach instead and try that

Snow is a few hours off; so I'm making some soup. No kale to be had at Wegmans last night, using spinach instead...

If you ready their explanation below, the map I posted is based more off the Euro which has been the most accurate of the models this season.hapster said:Eggcelsior said:That map seems to be based off of the NAM predictions which are typically ambitious. GFS model is about 60% of what NAM suggests.
Either way, I'll believe it when I see it. -
Family loved it... @ads75 I feel for you. I will head out early tomorrow morning once it gets cranking to check on the snow vendors working my stores. Not too tough, get a big cup of the best coffee in the world and drive around in the snow LOL
Here is the finished soup, you mix in a little fresh chopped mint right before eating, was really good with the Mint.

Freezing rain advisories as far south as inland Liberty and Long Counties in GA. The map shows purple all the way to the county line also 20-25 kts out fo north shifting to west later tomorrow. Does not seem like a good day to fish offshore.
My daughter has already had to buy long pants and jackets for the grandsons. The six year old thinks long pants are awful.
I predict it will be warm by the fourth of July.
