My wife forwarded me this article complete with video saying frying bacon in water is better.
Sure looks like it from the video.

I would'a never tried doing it that way until I saw the video.
Wonder how that would work with ABT's?

I tried it for breakfast this morning and it was as described, easy and delicious. Judy said it was the best piece of bacon she's had in a long time. I didn't see any evidence of grease splatter either.
Used Tradtional Cut Sugar Cured Kroger brand bacon.
Here's the sequence of photos:
I liked it too.

We just tried this last week! I believe I saw the technique in the book "rulman's twenty" and gave it a try for a BLT. It was an interesting experiment but it took a lonnnnnng time. Might have had too much water. For sliced bacon, I still like the cold oven technique the best, but I would like to try this water method again with a big hunk of homemade bacon for Lardons.Columbus, OH

Looks like a long process and good for only a few pieces of bacon. We cook at least a half pound of bacon at a time.

I tried it after reading the technique in Cook's Illustrated, but I didn't care for it that way. Maybe have to give it one more try.I never have trouble with bacon spattering, I start it in a cold pan set to no more than Medium and then to Med-Low as its almost finished (and that more to cool the pan for the eggs after the bacon is removed)._____________
