I googled and checked Amazon before starting the thread I wanted to know if others had been able to get a better price by buying from a particular retailer, or waiting for a pa#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I'm pretty sure I saw the Pelican coolers at Costco and I think the big one was $299? It's been a while and not sure on the size. May have been the 95 qt. that I was looking at.

The 95qt was $299 at Costco. It almost jumped in my cart many times last summer.

That was quite a deal. I don't recall seeing them in store last week, but I may go check again.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

Man, I've been looking for one these for such a long time... I'm just too cheap to spend that much on a cooler... Well screw it. At that price I have to have it. Looks like the neighborhood watering hole is gonna have to do without me for a couple of weeks. My drinking money just went to Sam's.

@TheShaytoon - your liver will thank you... On the other hand, the cooler will keep your beer cold for a long time!#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

Yeti. The Yeti 45Qt is a beast. Buy once, cry once! Same rationale I used when I bought the BGE.XL BGE; Medium BGE; L BGE

I have the 45. It's stout. Pulled a butt off the Egg, FTC'd in the Pelican. 6 hours later, internal temp was 160. Steaming hot. I grabbed from an online company in Phoenix. It was 245 with no tax and free shipping. Went to check, but company not on web anymore. Anything at 250 or less is a great deal. Just know it's huge. 30 lbs empty. And capacity is really 50 quart. Thanksgiving at the coast, it kept ice for a week.

@caliking WHOAW...slow down, I am still going to abuse the liver; just going to do it at home instead of the bar. The only thing I am afraid of, they might give away my bar stool to some other chap.
I think the total came to $239, with tax and shipping. Still $20 bucks cheaper than anywhere else I could find...that's three cocktails!!! It's a win-win situation all the way around. -
Thanks for the details @TheShaytoon & @GQuiz. Those are the kind of specifics I was looking for.
And thanks for the links to the other threads @KennyLee. I had forgotten about the lifetime warranty on the Pelicans.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
Update - just got home with a Pelican 45qt for $180 +tax. Bering's was clearing them out and still had some left in various sizes. Thanks for all the input, folks.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Sam's Club. Online only... Pelican was 209, shipping was 8. Tax was 17.
Sailboat BOY? YOU CALL ALLIGATORS, LIZARDS? -
Well, alligator is a form of the Spanish word for lizard and they are the same Class... But, no, they have different Orders. Not the same.
In addition, mischievous children are called Sheytoons and your devil has an adorable child-like quality.
WOW. I just got really tangential. Mostly, I thought the names of your boats were cookers that I hadn't heard of. I'm impressed. Just joshing you. -

I don't even cook anymore. I'm just here for the Lulz.

@eggcelsior You are smart. Or you're a good googler...either way...BRAVO!Usually the mischievous kids have an angle on one shoulder that they ignore, and follow the devilish one on their other shoulder...thus the little shaytoon (devil) is the mascot for our sailing team.
