Gloves
I see people looking for gloves all the time here so I thought I would post a find.
I got these from this vendor, I am not associated with him.
These are similar to gloves on Amazon I have been looking at for 4x the cost. So far the best I can tell you about them is I put my hand on my ceramic stove top and checked the temperature with my infrared and it read 374 degrees. I held it there for a good 30 seconds and only felt a slightly warm.
I only ordered one because I wanted to see if they were any good and I plan on getting a second one.
This is what was actually delivered.
BTW my hands are large or size nine, by most glove standards. These fit snug with a little room, if your hands are much larger then they may be real snug.

I got some cheapo welding gloves from harbor freight and the wifey was helping me and she attempted to use them to remove PS when it was hot, she nearly dropped it and said "Hot!" so I guess I am glad I had her test drive the gloves.GreggLarge BGE Owner since December of 2013!

I have a very good pair of gloves I use with my wood stove that I use with the eggs. I can pick up flaming logs and a hot plate setter with out any problem.
These have a lot better feel to them and I'm not worried about not having a good grip. They feel and look a lot better then they appear in pictures.
The gloves I wanted are the ones loosemoose have pictured. They get very good reviews on Amazon. For $6 these seem pretty good to me.

I have "Pit Mitts" and can pick up lit charcoal, a hot platesetter, and even my burning hot wok without problem

@Loosemoose... I've got the same set of gloves. Good up to 650F. I've removed the p.s. & c.i.grate with no problem. I've used my IR temp gun and both were at 750F so I could feel the heat but, it wasn't unbearable I was just testing them when I did that). I've had mine for awhile and they are very effective and I use them for work as well (I'm a HVAC/R & HOT side & food service equipment technician for commercial restaurants). My wife got me those gloves for Christmas and I think she got them at amazon as well. They are BIG! They work great too.

I use welding gloves from amazon, I can pick up a hot plate setter no problem. Additionally the large cuffs protect my clothes from everything.Large Egg - Loudon County, VA.

Just an update, last night I put my hand on the glass of my wood stove for almost 10 seconds before it started getting warm, ok it was pretty warm but still bearable . The glass was 640 degrees on my inferred thermometer.
Then I went to take the glove and the outside was HOT. I probably could have burnt myself on the glove. I did order another one so I have a pair. I can't wait to handle a hot plate setter and see how they are.

Pit Mitts have worked very well for me. Picking up a hot platesetter or cast iron griddle is no problem.Southern California

The Pit mitts are only rated for 475 degrees. But they do look nice.

I found these on Amazon about a year ago. Think I did a "Hot Glove" search.
A bit more $$, but super for BGE cooking. Machine washable too..
