Me too. Made an order and he shipped with follow up correspondence. Treated me like I have known him for years. Thanks Ron and to the rest of you for all your help on this forum. Great fun.

blush blush blush guys - I try to help! Seems hard to believe that just since December 28th I've shipped 39 gaskets! I blew through the 1,000 mark early this week and already have a good start toward the 1,100 mile marker!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

@Mayberry He sells the Rutland gasket.Generally considered the best way to go. Cut to length. All you need is the adheisive available at most auto part stores. Extremely reasonable. Probably at cost from what I can see
-
Me also, I couldn't believe how quick it came, but what really is a huge testament to what kind of guy Ron is, he sends the gasket out without receiving payment first. Total gentleman to have so much trust in people over a 1000 times. Bravo Ron.

Nothing but Good things to say about Ron!! I have Rutlands on all 4 of our eggs!! Nothing but greatness!!XL, Large, 2 Small's and Mini BGE Arlington Texas

Ron is the man...plain and simple...to add my 2 cents...In my head I wanted to order a gasket for my XL and a second as a spare (or maybe for a future second egg)...Instead of just taking the sale, Ron helped me understand why that might not be necessary and gave me several other things to think about... He sells these as a service to the community, not for proffit...and I tried to pay him in advance...he wouldnt hear of it... We can use more like him...
PS, Ron, I am still mulling over the options, I will get back to you this weekend.
Thanks

Looking forward to getting my gasket issue resolved. I ordered one for my medium as well, those gaskets are in good shape but why not?Should I wait for a warm day to install? (this is in reference to the Permatex)Watkinsville, Ga XL, Medium

I posed the curing question to the manufacturer of Permatex Ultra Copper and their technical reply was that yes you can apply it at temperatures between 20 and 30F though the ideal temperature is between 50 and 80F. Silicones such as Permatex are moisture cured so temperatures above and below these ranges remove that element. Curing occurs in 24 hours. If you are able to warm surfaces to at least the 40 to 50F range that will help for better bonding across the surfaces.

Thanks for that information. Although it got down to 6 degrees earlier, thats highly unusual for north Georgia. 50 to 60 is more like our winter highs. I am planning on doing this next weekend.Watkinsville, Ga XL, Medium

How do I order a Rutland from him? I'm having trouble sending a PM from my phone.
