Top and bottom out of line

A family member just receive a large egg for Xmas. The top and bottom do not line up its about 3/4 of inch off and starting to mess up back if lower gasket. I have 2 eggs large and small put both together myself. He paid the $150 delivery and setup cost. I sent pics to dealer and his response at first was it does not look that bad, after arguing hr said he was going to cotact big green egg and ask them about it. I looked at it and it doesn't seem set up right bolts on lower band seem loose top band looks crooked, I don't want to touch it in case something happens. I posted some pics any feedback wolf be great

That's way beyond any tolerances that would make that acceptable! The dealer needs to take care of that immediately and quit trying to brush you off. Also, when they fix it, they need to put a new gasket on it as part of the warranty.......

Personally, it doesn't look terrible. But, if I paid 150 for delivery and set up and heard that as an excuse, I'd **** a brick.

I had this issue recently (though more like 1/4 inch) after I overtightened the bolts at the back that connect the top and bottom of the BGE. Once I loosened them up a little the alignment went back to normal.

I would like to try and fix it for him but if something happens I don't want to be responsible. I bought my large from them I thought they were a good bussiness. They should just send someone out to look at it instead of telling me there emailing big green egg. I'm gonna give them to middle of next week cause I'm tired if hearing the holiday excuse.
