    Neat traditions.
-Christmas Eve: go to wife's grandparents for dinner and gift swap. Gran Gran reads the birth of Jesus from Luke 2.
-Santa puts the gifts out that night, also unwrapped
-I wake up early and make something special for breakfast, homemade cinnamon rolls this year. Then fire up the Egg for prime rib
-Wife and kids get up and open/play with toys while eating breakfast. A Christmas Story is on the TV in the background
-Christmas night, back to the grandparents for extended family shenanigans

Each year is different, all three of our kids are married with in-laws in the area, we have to share them now, and of course the grandkids, nothing makes it magic like the wee ones.
When our kids were young, we sent them to bed with only their stockings at the foot of their beds, we didn't have a fireplace. With the assistance of copious amounts of Pusser rum and eggnog, the tree was put up, decorated and all the presents placed under it. Santa's gifts always unwrapped. Their faces in the morning were priceless when presented with a completely changed house.
This year, Xmas Eve at son #2's, Xmas dinner at my SIL's Mom's and Boxing Day brunch at our place.
Friday, NY strip loins on the egg, looking forward to it.
Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
