Have to cook the bird Christmas Eve during the day, travel that night, and then eat Christmas afternoon. Cook fully, wrap in aluminum pan with some liquid (water, apple juice), then re-heat in oven for hour or so or until warm? Have an XL, three kids, and gifts, so transporting and cooking on Egg Christmas day is out of the question.

Sound like a plan or will it dry out the bird?

Is the turkey already carved? IMO I would carve the bird, pack in the alum pan and heat in a very low temp oven. This could be a problem with all the others vying for oven space.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Hadn't planned on carving, but will do whatever works best.

We carve ours and then into a food-saver bag with a little broth and heat up in warm water. Don't make the packages too thick so it heats evenly. ;;)Every day is a bonus day and every meal is a banquet in Winter Springs, Fl !
