@DMW, I'd fire up that Egg and hit golf balls off that deck into the field behind you!  Put a couple of pins out there and you have a personal driving range.  Looks great!

My favorites - Just be careful out there:

"Leaves certainly blowing all around, trees swaying."

"You can see my hair's blowing around and you can see the leaves blowing behind me and so that can cause some problems for you this morning."

My personal record is egging ribs at -17°F, but that wasn't much fun. My only recommendations are always wear gloves because everything is either very hot or very cold, and stick to cooks that are either hot and fast or don't require a lot of supervision. Steaks or butts are good. Ribs and chicken, not so much.

  • I spent the day on a roof installing a new HVAC unit today. The windchill was -15 F. While that's not a record or even close to a record for the cold here it was enough to make me forget about my egg for tonight!

  • Lucky, still out cooking two turkey breasts for deli meat, -29 C, (not sure what what that is in F, -19?) Breasts are taking a bit longer than expected. Had to snow blow for an hour or so and didn't see the egg temp stabalized a bit low.

I'm glad you're a good sport.  I showed this to my wife and she thought I was a bit abrasive.  I thought it was obvious that its all in good fun, but she thought some might not see it that way.

Snow on the way tomorrow and I have a full day of egging planned for our Christmas party. Need to get a roof over my egg, no way my ez-up would handle the snow load. Or move south...

Crap. Did I miss something? I thought tomorrow was supposed to be a "wintry mix". Then again, last Sunday was supposed to be 1-3".  We received 8". Then ice. Weeeeee!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Hmmm.... 2-4 inches tomorrow. (That's up to around 10 cm for the metric-minded folks up north)

  • The snow here is finally going to let up around noon today. We have been hit pretty good here all week with cold temps. -29C (-20F) again today, and then 0 (32) and +2 tomorrow. What a quick change, then its going to get sloppy starting tomorrow, joy...!

Nope, you saw it as I did.  Just joking around and having a little fun.  I actually hate the hot weather we have. As a homegrown Florida boy, I would much rather be in the mountains of TN.
