As many others have noted, a copper tee from the plumbing section would be a stronger alternative.

I like the clay pot holder feet from Lowe's. You can even use them under the egg to provide an air gap, like the original BGE feet - 3 feet for $5+.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.
