Cracked platesetter and cold temperature?

Options
Hi All - Last night I went out to put on a tri-tip.  I opened up my cabinet to find my platesetter in 3 pieces.  It was 18 degrees yesterday.  Any chance the cold temperatures caused this to happen?  A bit of previous cracking background: My platesetter fell over this summer and cracked in half (had it leaning against the nest in a moment of stupidity). I successfully put it back together with JB Weld.  The 3 cracks that exist now are different than the JB Weld repaired one. Thoughts?
