Big Green Egg - EGGhead Forum - The Ultimate Cooking Experience...
It doesn’t get much hotter than the EGG cookin’ in July! Make sure to keep yourself hydrated with a bit of whatever you’re using for the Beer Can Chicken. Ice Cream Sandwiches are also a great way to stay cool. Looking for some great ideas for a summer cook out? Try out a Pimento Cheeseburger or Dr. BBQ’s Spare Rib Surprise. Just don’t be surprised if your neighbors stop by for a quick bite when they smell what you’re cooking!

My little chuck roast

Doing a small chuck roast because it's just better than the baked chicken my wife was threatening to cook tonight. I've scoured the internet for recipes and am kinda going rouge here. Hopefully it won't suck.

Can't mess up! Make some gravy with the juice at the end!

Are you planning to pull it and then mix it with sauce and put it back on for a bit like Clay's?

    That is some good stuff.

When have you ever cooked something on the egg that's sucked??? :)
Let us know the dome temp and time. I would love to try that one.

Dump in a pint of Guinness or some Irish or English ale if you have it.

Well that was fun. I'm really enjoying this Dutch oven. I basically let it ride between 250-350. Plenty of beef broth water and a little red wine at the end. Oh and 4 onions. It turned out better than I expected. Everyone loved it, even my wife who hates roast!

Nice job! Now your wife knows she doesn't hate roast, just dried out overdone roasts!

Looks great!  I agree the taters look really great.  Did you do those on the egg too?

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
