Egg table gets a new top...

I used an inferior sealer on my last cypress top. The boards had checked pretty badly and flew apart in the planer. Had some VERY hard Merbau laying around and decided to put it to good use. Oily wood...used some teak oil and then multiple layers of Spar urethane. Also put a counter top in the garage with it...

This was the egg table when I finished it up a couple years ago:

Had to remove the top to fix the splitting and peeling finish:

New top installed (bigger the better):

Egg is back at home and ready to cook a few turkeys...

jimreed777 I love the new and improved table as well as you garage set up I assume you live in a warm climate up here in N.Y. we couldn't have a sink in the garage in the winter it gets to cold and the pipes will freeze and break

insulated garage...so even when the weather dips low we don't see any freezing in the garage.

I used to live in PA - and you are dead right - no garage sinks there
