As per my egg dealer, "WGWW has reverted back to the old formula as of recently". Just thought I'd pass that along. Can anyone else verify? Is he out to sell the bags of bad stuff he has in stock or can this be true? I have not contacted the maker so I can't attest to this.

Gave my last two bags to Travis.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Much to do about nothing. They got a run that was not their prescribed blend. It sucked and in retrospect, should have sent it back to South America. They are good people. No reason not to buy WGWW now as they got the manufacturing process worked out and back to spec. I went through 3 pallets before hitting the bad batch. @krobertsmsn, went through the same discussion with a dealer in RIchmond, BC, he claimed they sent all the WGWW back to the distributor as it was crap. They now have the "good" stuff in stock. It appears that WGWW has reverted to the quality they once had, not sure if they have changed their attitude as they seemed to PO some folks on this forum. Here in west Canuckistan, WGWW makes BGE look cheap, so I never use it.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I think WGWW will have to be even better than before to rebuild a customer base on this site. Don't really see it happening.A poor widows son.

On the other hand, I bought a mountain of the good stuff that I am still burning off. Had I not read frequented this forum, I would stock up again this winter and probably be just fine with it.

no offense, but as caliking mentioned in that email.. I get my charcoal from ave r, gc they're not supplying ace, I'm going with kamado joe.

Agreed. I think their ship has sailed here. Especially since they aren't carried by Ace anymore. I think Rockwood/OO has replaced them on the pedestal of "consensus best lump".bettysnephew said:I think WGWW will have to be even better than before to rebuild a customer base on this site. @robnybbq, just set up a groupbuy or go to Firecraft.com and get OO or Rockwood for free shipping if you spend $99. OO is 10.95/10 lbs and Rockwood is 19.95 for 20 lbs.
