Cooks Illustrated rated this DO a Best Buy some years ago. A fraction of the cost of Le Creuset, and works exactly the same. Have had mine for several years and the enamel has held up just fine.The knob on the top of mine was a phenolic knob, rated for 400°F or something thereabouts. I replaced the knob with a metal cabinet knob from HD, and recently replaced that with a metal Le Creuset knob from Amazon.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.
