Since I didn't win the door prize, my friend and I each bought a MINI with the support of our SWMBO's. But, since it is a Christmas present, I have to wait to "open" it. Gonna be a long wait. From reading this forum, it seems that the MINI is a cult within the cult, and the perfect companion to my LARGE. Looking forward to Christmas, but now wondering about all the "must have" accessories I will now need. I have seen the suggestions on the forum and have started my list. The deck box is filling up!

Those minis are sneaky like that. They tend to jump into your car and strap themselves in when you're not looking.Have fun with it!#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I would get a mini-woo and pizza stone. The CI grill is optional, though I really like it. I don't use mine to wok and I don't cook on CI griddles, though I've been tempted to get one.Congratulations. You'll love it.*******Owner of a large and a beloved mini in Philadelphia

Congrats on the Mini!
Here's a list of accessories for the Mini:
Mini Woo (http://shop.ceramicgrillstore.com/mini-10-woo-ring/)
Old Stone Oven Pizza Stones (http://www.amazon.com/Old-Stone-Oven-4444-Stones/dp/B0000E1FDC)
Lodge CI griddle #L70GH3 (http://www.missionrs.com/L70GH3.html or http://www.wasserstrom.com/restaurant-supplies-equipment/Product_309165)
10" Carbon Steel Wok (http://www.wokshop.com/store/detail.php?show=64)
BGE has a cast iron grid (part# 10CI) that isn't shown on the BGE site and now offers a plate setter (part# PST).
The Egg Carten is pretty popular but elusive (http://eggcarten.blogspot.com/p/features-of-mini-egg-carten.html)
I use one of these MSR Alpine Plates as a drip pan (http://www.amazon.com/MSR-321104-Alpine-Plate/dp/B000FBSZGA)
High-Que grate is another option if you find your Mini needs a little better airflow. http://www.high-que.com/Stainless-High-Heat-Charcoal-Fire-Grate-Upgrade-for-Small-Mini-Big-Green-Egg-Grill_p_21.html
I tried the High-Que from my Small and it made no noticeable difference in performance in my Mini (it already rockets up to searing temps) but this can vary from Mini to Mini.XL, Large, Small, Mini Eggs, Shirley Fabrication 24x36 Patio, Humphrey's Weekender, Karubecue C-60, MAK 1-Star General, Hasty Bake Gourmet, Santa Maria Grill, Webers: 14" WSM, 22.5" OTG, 22.5" Kettle Premium, WGA Charcoal, Summit S-620 NG

Have two Larges and the Mini. The Mini gets 75% of the work. The High-Que is very much needed. As well as the Mini Woo and the Stones.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

I've only used it for a little breakfast cooks and cooking uncooked tortillas but I've seen others use if for searing and some seafood. Most folks seem to use it like a mini griddle. You can check out Spring Chicken's "Magic Mini Moments" movies on YouTube for more possibilities.XL, Large, Small, Mini Eggs, Shirley Fabrication 24x36 Patio, Humphrey's Weekender, Karubecue C-60, MAK 1-Star General, Hasty Bake Gourmet, Santa Maria Grill, Webers: 14" WSM, 22.5" OTG, 22.5" Kettle Premium, WGA Charcoal, Summit S-620 NG

Thanks for the feedback! Quick follow up questions for @R2eggQ and @MickeyYou both recommended the mini Woo and stones… what do you use them for? I have the Woo2 for my large and love it… but the mini woo is less than 2" tall… so I guess you use it for smoking butts, etc? What else? Also, same question that @krobertsmsn asked… what do you use the CI griddle for?I am pretty sure I will wind up with it all, but looking for reasons to buy and new ideas for my new mini. Thanks!ChrisFalls Church, VALarge & Mini

The Mini Woo and stones give you the option to cook raised direct or indirect. That little bit of lift does help protect the meat from flare ups.
Add a drip pan or a stone (or two) and you can cook indirect or cook pizzas. Here's some past cooks as examples:
