    I think it is something only an admin can do (flag ad announcement).

    Note you can hover over the top right and there is a gear icon and u can click and choose dismiss. It will no longer be pinned.

    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

    Odd thing to do. Why that one? Would think Travis's Brisket more appropriate.

    I would agree--seems to be an administrator privilege, and I bet the software just has a built in feature for pinning something to top called "announcement".  Good advertising thread for BGE so looks like they wanted it up top.  As noted, some smart folks here figured out how to "unannounce" the thread should you desire to do so.

    I think its total bullsh!t. When folks are being yanked around by their dealers, or trolls are making things miserable on the board we don't see hide nor hair of a moderator/admin. As soon as someone starts a thread they can use as marketing/advertising, it gets pinned to the top.

    Whoever moderates this board - "announce" this.

    BTW - I fully support BGE sending @CANMAN1976 a free egg for all the good press his thread has and will generate ! :)

    I agree, at least send him a mini. And to think he paid at least 30-40% more for his egg due to the business model BGE uses to serve Canada!

    Also appears EDIT is no longer restricted to one hour... I'd put that feature back in.. Edit - weird. This post says one hour, but my main post can still be edited. Oh - and looks like the mods don't like this thread, so it isn't able to be bumped back to the front page. Pretty weak, bge. Pretty weak....

    Even more shady. If they want to moderate the forum, then at least be more active than using it as a propaganda tool. Or stay away and let the forum moderate itself, which has seemed to work fairly well in the past. Yes I know they support/pay for the site, but consistency would be a good practice.

    Seems like the bump property was disabled  about 10am. There must be a way to bump the thread...
