Seriously thinking of adding a mini to the family of LBGE and MBGE. Talk me into it!
What can you cook on it? How many abts for example? How many chicken breast? Wings?
Do you need something under it when cooking on it if nested?
Fav cooks on mini?
Any other way you can talk me into it-bring it on....

Perfect for camping, vacationing and tailgating. Also love it for weeknight meals. I routinely grill whole 3.5 pound chickens on mine for quick weeknight meals. It's also perfect for personal sized pizzas. I always like the fact that I can grab a handful of leftover preburnt coals out of my large for a quick weeknight meal on the mini. Don't even hafta wait for the VOC's to cook off since they were previously snuffed out. Definitely get it IMHO.

Thanks! How do you do the pizza?LBGE 4/2012, MBGE 6/2012 & Mini 11/2013Rome, GA

Love the mini. Get a mini woo and two pizza stones off Amazon and you are set for pizzas or indirect cooks. Dyal has a great idea about stealing used lump from your other Eggs, did the same thing the last two nights for mini cooks.

If you go to Roswell you may as well drive to the mothership in Tucker!Extra Large, Large, and Mini. Tucker, GA -
I was looking at picking up a mini or small to take on vacations with us. I was leaning towards the small with the larger cooking grid.
Does anybody use the small as their traveling Egg? I'm curious to hear how easy/hard it is to move around.

For those of you with a mini, how long can a full load of lump last with the woo setup for an indirect cook at around 250°?They/Them

What can you do on the mini.....Just about anything you can do on the others, just scaled down. We will be taking only the mini with us to the Plano fest. Planned cooks are pork loin with maple syrup/Makers Mark/cranberry glaze, Picadilla (SoTexas Hash) served in corn cups with salsa and time permitting puff pastry s'mores. This is a very good basic Picadillo recipe and very close to mine (minus chicken stock and Sherry.Large, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx

Depends a lot on the density of the lump you use. My longest cook was with the old Wicked Good lump and went 75 mins @240-250 then 4 hrs at 300 (and could have gone another hour). If I went about 250 the whole time I'd estimate probably 7+ hrs. For a lighter lump like RO, my guess would be close to 6 hrs.XL, Large, Small, Mini Eggs, Shirley Fabrication 24x36 Patio, Humphrey's Weekender, Karubecue C-60, MAK 1-Star General, Hasty Bake Gourmet, Santa Maria Grill, Webers: 14" WSM, 22.5" OTG, 22.5" Kettle Premium, WGA Charcoal, Summit S-620 NG

@ krobertsmsn where are you located? If northeast of Atl, Reeves Hardware in Clayton should have them in stock and their pricing is normally very very good Plus if I was north of Atl, I would rather drive to the mountains and spend the day than go 75 miles to Roswell! In the middle of Georgia!
