Adjustable Rig - Early Christmas Present

Options

Pulling the trigger on the AR before the Bob's Annual Christmas Party.  Recommendations?  What about the oval grates? Best combo package?  Going all in.  P.S. The party is 12/21 in North Fulton County (Atlanta). More on that later.

Call Tom at Ceramic Grill Store. He hangs here and is a nice,  patient fella.  Tell him  what  you plan on cooking with your egg and AR,  and he'll recommend what combo you should buy.  He's  not the type of guy to oversell or make you buy things you won't need.

R&B combo with sliding D grid extender. I don't have the sliding d extender but it's on my list to get now that I have the rig.

I don't think there is a "wrong" setup with the Rig, it just depends on what style of cooks you do more frequently then others.  I would seriously suggest calling Tom and discussing it with him, especially if you are going "all in".  I probably could have saved a bunch of money on shipping if I'd gotten everything I've ordered from Tom for my large in one shipment instead of three.

I learned my lesson when I got my medium and knew I'd be getting a small for travel/tailgating and waited until I had the small to order woos for both eggs.

Thanks for the tips.  I have been eying the Sliding D extender.  I need the rig when we have people over and for parties.  I will give Tom a call and let everyone know how it works out for me.
