My wife is running an adoption fundraiser and someone donated 2 XLs (talk about generous) that we could sell and put towards the adoption fund for our friends. I don't usually see XLs on craigslist that often to gauge a selling price by. What are some of the prices you've seen XLs go for with no accessories. I'm picking them up tonight so I really don't know the age/condition/number of accessories, but I'll update tonight when I pick them up.

Keep in mind since they are used the warranty will be void. I would price them accordingly, if they are in good shape 1/2 price of new. If you price them too high people will not bother to look.

Wish you were closer, I would consider purchasing a used XL to help a worthy cause.They/Them

can you sell them with the warranty? That will bring the price way up.I would say 20-30% off retail if you have the warranty would be a good deal for someoneKeepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

I think I remember someone saying that eggs bought for charity giveaways were still good on warranty. If that's true then cen tex is right.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

I'd want something on mothership letterhead stating the warranty is still valid if I were a buyer and paying a price based upon that.
I'd also suggest you check a local dealer or two to see what realistic new prices are. I see people on CL basing prices on MSRP when you can go into most egg dealers and get a new egg with a free nest and/or platesetter.

Well, they're used eggs that are being donated. I'll have to call up mother and ask them about that. Thanks Travis.Dunedin, FL

There really are so many variables this can't be answered. Location, condition play a big part.
In Seattle eggs priced right on Craig's are gone in a day or so.good thing about Craig's u price it , if no demand lower it. Rinse , repeat.Seattle, WA -
@yzzi where are you located at? Instead of Craigslist you maybe able to sell them on the forum here.

An XL in good shape would easily bring $1,000 here in SoCal.

I'd just check on the best local prices and go 50-70% of that depending on whether the warranty carries or not. Around here (north Texas), they would probably be in the $500-$700 range.

A new XL even from the retail store in Tucker is $1099 with nothing included.i would say start at $900 and drop from there. I watch Craigslist alot and ones posted at $800 or below go fast.

Kamado Joe makes the big Joe its the same grate size as the XL egg but is much larger over all. The kamado Joe costs almost the exact same as eggs here in GA.

You might find a few ceramic fans down there to help with the adoption. Have you considered using Craigslist?
