It feels as though we’ve waited forever for college football to start, and finally the wait is over! Check out our tailgating page for recipes that are sure to become fan favorites. As an added bonus, the day before Labor Day is National Bacon Day and we don’t know about you, but we like putting bacon on anything and everything, so we’ll definitely be celebrating that. Apple pie fries

Started with a store bought pie dough, coated it with the gel from a can of Apple Pie Filling (cooked the rest of the apples for a side for the pork tenderloin) .  Placed another pie dough on top, and sliced into 'fries'.  Brushed with egg wash and sprinkled with sugar.  On the Egg at 400 indirect, parchment paper on a pizza stone, for about 20 minutes.  Served with caramel dipping sauce, or if you want savory, they were great with Boursin Garlic and Herbs cheese spread as well.
