We hope everyone’s enjoying the first few days of summer. For us, the weather heating up means one thing - the EGG’s gonna be busy! Whether you’re making stuffed burgers for a backyard grill out, some brats before a baseball game or searing a steak for dinner on the patio, we hope you’re doing it with full flavor and having fun all the while!

Big Green Egg headquarters has moved - come visit our new showroom and check out the museum and culinary center too! 3786 DeKalb Technology Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30340

Friday Night MLB Cook - Go Tigers!!!

Shortly going to fire up the egg for some beef ribs, and then roll that right into a 8-3/4lb brisket for an over nighter...

Will also be firing up a stick or two, and perhaps an adult beverage as well.

Weather is supposed to be great this weekend... I'm on-call so let's try to keep that **** to the bare minimum ;)

Pics as I go...

Have a great weekend everyone!

Stay safe... I've gotten updates on her; but it seems like all of our FLA locations should be fine weather wise.

Sweet - doing a brisket myself tonight.  Supposed to rain here overnight so I may have to make a tin foil tent for the stack.  I am planning on joining you in a nice stick and some cocktails later.

We are in a tornado watch at the moment so not quite as lucky weather wise.  Was supposed to be Fun Night at the boy's school this evening and that's been postponed.  So if I do get an opening to egg something it will probably be a quick direct cook.  Burgers and pork chops is how I'm leaning at the moment.

I've adopted the Pirates for this postseason so it was nice to get a win in St Louis this afternoon.  Hope work leaves you alone this weekend Hap so you can enjoy the good weather.  The Tiger game is going to keep you up late so make sure you have a extra stick or two around just in case.

    @Charlesmaneri

I am part of the Facility Department for Wawa, a Lead Tech. There are six of us and we each take turns being on call. We're actually always on call for our own stores, but when it's our turn, we field calls for the entire chain. My normal area is 110 stores, about 60/40 gas stores to non gas.

On call could be just about anything, however bad weather usually makes it worse with power outages, organizing generators, etc.

Good start for the Tigers Hap, got the window I was looking for.  Stuffed pork chops on, burgers and chicken breasts for the wife's salad going on shortly.

Thanks Hap, fortunately for us the weather stayed away, unfortunately it hit a small farming town and destroyed a lot of property for farmers.

Good for you; a shame for them. Hope it was just property lost and not any lives...

Knock on wood, no lives reported yet.  This is two days in a row going through what we usually deal with in the spring and that's enough.  Last night had a F-2 tornado go south of us, haven't heard what this one was.

  • Just finished off a Perdomo Noir stick with a crown royal black while my 4 butts are smoking away. My neighbor brought 2 butts over to throw on with my two. I do believe he will be a future egghead.

It was about 5-6 hours. The temp did spike early on cause I wasn't paying attention but it was mainly around 225 to 250 grate

Even though the game is on the TV inside; I prefer to sit out here on my deck and listen to it on the MLB app. Listening to the Detriot home radio broadcast... Reminds me of childhood and listening to Harry Kalas and Whitey Ashburn call the Phillies games. Minus the beer, bourbon, and cigars of course :))
