I use this to control my temperature. I like it and want to get one for my neighbor. I cannot remember where I got it or who makes it. Any help will be appreciated.

It is a air flow reducer that gets wedged in the bottom vent. It allows finer control during low and slow cooking. It's a nice addition.

it looks like a lucy, eggor used to make them about 8 years ago but doesnt anymore. maybe someone else is making them because his replaced the bottom vent cover

Thirdeye but I don't think he's making it anymore, it's called a Micro Adjuster

Interesting. Have never seen this before. Learn something every day. The DFMT provides all the adjustment I've ever needed. The lower vent is usually set at about 1/4" and then the final temp is dialled in with the DFMT.If it works for you, then it is good.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
