Can I upgrade my XL egg?

My egg is about 8 or 9 years old. Is it possible to upgrade the hinges to the newer more beefy looking hinges? Also I have the old, small wood handle (which is actually burned off) can I also upgrade that to the new larger one? I'm just looking to upgrade it sometime this fall/winter, before I build a table for it, and am wondering if it can be done and how much it may cost? Thanks in advance!

If its 8-9 years old you probably have the shorter lid too. Its about $300 for a new lid, bands and handle. I don't think the hinges have changed though -- you may be looking at the large. XL is different...
