OT: Aerial Corn Maze Pics

Yesterday before supper my father-in-law and I went up for a ride to take some pictures for a friend of their corn maze.  These are not @hapster quality, but Pretty fair for a cloudy first try at aerial photography.  Pics are around 800-1500 feet in a Stinson Voyager.

  • That's one nice maze!

  • I had taken a ton of pictures of a HUGE one right on I-70 east of Columbia, MO about 10 yrs ago.  I was involved in aerial photography at the time and I think we photographing an accident site for a lawsuit or something out there.  We took a bunch of pictures on the way back hoping to sell them to the maze owners (or the customers as a map!)

I'll post them if I can find them.  I think it was cut into a Batman logo or something that was popular at the time.  Pretty cool.  Other years it's usually something for the Mizzou Tigers.

The one near my house is always a Maltese Cross since it benefits the firefighters here in town.  I can get a picture of that next time I fly over.

    What do you fly?

  • I thought this was a pretty cool video about corn mazes...

Based on this, I was trying to figure out what the maze image is... I got a vegetable but that's it.

  • Mkline,

I have not forgotten about your invitation.

Budgets and Board meetings will be over after next week. I will try and schedule something in October if you are available.

Do you know Steve Newcomer? He was in the Delta maintenance area before he went to the dark side (FAA).
