Haven't been this excited to watch an Eagles in I don't remember how long...

Awesome weather and hopefully the food is good. Line up is....

Chili from yesterday
Baking fresh bread this morning
Steamers
some Italian sausages

and stingray.

Yes sting ray... saw it this morning at Wegmans (dangerous place) and decided to give it a try. The guy told me grill it like a steak, kind of low and slow till the IT is 145. Has any one else ever done this on the egg before?

Interesting. Caught a cpl on our last trip to Fla and released. Had no desire to eat. Curious to see how this turns out.

Very easy... I get the pre made pizza dough ball, shape into a loaf, rub it down with EVOO and then sprinkle pepper, salt, garlic and some oregano on it and do it at about 400 for about 40 min on my pizza stone.

Not sure if Hap does this, I put the bread ball on the cold pizza stone and then into the stable egg. Found that if the stone was hot, the bottom of the bread tended to burn before the top was browned.

Well here goes... Marinating the ray in a soy sauce, ginger, garlic, wasabi sauce.

Later I am planning on going raised direct till the IT is 145. This stuff is really fresh, no smell at all...

Nice! Right now my bread I started this morning is in the inside oven... I only have 1 egg and it's occupied. Starting to consider a mate for my XL, perhaps a medium? Anyway touchdown Eagles! They can do it!

You may have been had. I've caught and eaten countless Sting-Rays. They are white meat. I like to get a small cookie cutter and make scallop size pieces and boil it. Serve with drawn butter and it tastes like lobster.

Wegmans is pretty reputable. I would tend to think that these are what they displayed in the case. If not, what else would could they be?

Like well done beef or maybe ostrich. Needs a sauce of some kind. Otherwise pretty tasty.

I figured it out, hap. That there is cownose ray meat. As the rays natural Preditor, the shark, thins out the cownose ray has exploded in population. They changed the name to Chesapeake ray in an effort to attract humans to eat it.
