Haven't been this excited to watch an Eagles in I don't remember how long...
Awesome weather and hopefully the food is good. Line up is....
Chili from yesterday
Baking fresh bread this morning
Steamers
some Italian sausages
and stingray.
Yes sting ray... saw it this morning at Wegmans (dangerous place) and decided to give it a try. The guy told me grill it like a steak, kind of low and slow till the IT is 145. Has any one else ever done this on the egg before?
Of course pics to come...

Interesting. Caught a cpl on our last trip to Fla and released. Had no desire to eat. Curious to see how this turns out.

Again, another great and simple idea brought us us by Hapster.
Thanks, this will be on my list. Was looking for a simple bread for the egg.
I have learned so much from this forum.

Not sure if Hap does this, I put the bread ball on the cold pizza stone and then into the stable egg. Found that if the stone was hot, the bottom of the bread tended to burn before the top was browned.Good luck against the Chargers.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I slide the dough in off of some parchment paper.

LOL... Thanks @Chri_Wang
Well here goes... Marinating the ray in a soy sauce, ginger, garlic, wasabi sauce.
Later I am planning on going raised direct till the IT is 145. This stuff is really fresh, no smell at all...

I was inspired by @hapster's "pizza bread" and tried it a while ago. Trust me, it's very good.
It has become a regular here.
Thanks, hap!

You may have been had. I've caught and eaten countless Sting-Rays. They are white meat. I like to get a small cookie cutter and make scallop size pieces and boil it. Serve with drawn butter and it tastes like lobster.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

Sorry, I don't do near as much seafood as I'd like to. Are steamers just clams, or something different?Killen, AL (The Shoals)XL, Small, Minimax, and Mini BGEs

Steamers are little neck clams

Wegmans is pretty reputable. I would tend to think that these are what they displayed in the case. If not, what else would could they be?MSV Chill Spot

The vote on the stingray
Needs a sauce of some type. Kinda dry like well done beef or ostrich. Other than that, it was pretty tasty. I'd give it another tryMSV Chill Spot

I figured it out, hap. That there is cownose ray meat. As the rays natural Preditor, the shark, thins out the cownose ray has exploded in population. They changed the name to Chesapeake ray in an effort to attract humans to eat it.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.
