Dome Temp Question

Been wondering for a while .... When told to cook at a certain temp is it ok go to with the dome temp? Like if I want to maintain a 250 temp is it ok to use the dome temp as my monitor?

Most temps quoted here, if not specified, are dome temps. That's the temp every Egg comes with.

Just make sure it is calibrated...
