Dove poppers

Some of the best recipes I've ever tasted have come off this forum. This will be my first year to grill some dove on the egg and I'm curious if any of y'all have some recipes you would like to share.

    salt and pepper the breast, stuff with jalapeno, maybe some cream cheese, wrap in bacon and grill. I usually glaze it with bbq sauce too. They are delicious.

  • I take the fillets off the breast, put 'em inside a cored jalapeño or hot Hatch along with some jack cheese. Wrap in bacon and let 'em rip till the bacon is cooked. I do them in a pepper rack so the cheese can't escape.

    Cook them medium.  It's a lean, dark-meat bird.
    This is my signature line just so you're not confused.
    Large and Medium BGE, Kamado Joe Jr., smoker with a 5k btu AC, gas grill, fire pit, pack of angry cats, two turntables and a microphone, my friend.

  • We breast them out butter fly then soak them in teriyaki stuff with pepper jack and wrap in bacon don't over cook.

  • Fillet out the breast
    Marinade in zesty Itilian dressing for 12 hrs.
    Put a chunk of pinapple inside the fillet. Wrap with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  • I like them browned hot and fast then simmered in brown gravy. Serve over burgers noodles. While thing can be done in a Dutch oven on the egg. Delicious!

    Marinate in
    Worchester, soy and steak seasoning for about an hour.
    Cut breast into bite size pieces.
    Put a piece of Jalapeno slice on top and wrap in bacon.
    Cook direct til bacon crisps.

    I got a limit in the freezer I'm gonna wait till I have quite a bit and egg up a bunch at once. I'm gonna try a few different ways out.
