    This weekend I hope to dive head first into this thing: spatchcock chicken, beef brisket, and baby back ribs. I know I'll learn a lot but still I hope there's some edible food in there.

    I've order many a Rudy's brisket.  Here's how they say to warm it up: 
  • Couple 9 # butts tonight, lo and slo for gametime tomorrow nite.  Using APLang method/recipe for first time so we will see how it goes.  Will add some ABT's, elder ward slaw,  and mexican street corn for sides.

    Tonight's going to be burgers... tomorrow and Sunday we are supposed to be on away fields LOL... not sure yet what'll go down on Monday
  • Freezer is all out of deli and pork so gonna re-supply by cooking turkey breast, eye of round, and a butt or two.  We'll nibble on these goodies before packing them up.  Will do some salmon on alder plank sometime also.

    Chicken tonight. Got some steaks on deck, and pan pizzas too. Gonna do Labor Day breakfast on the Lodge Sportsman with Lodge Griddle as well.
    When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin'   Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. With THAT traffic?)

    Just cooked a fattie this evening.

    I picked up a 14 lb whole brisket so I'll be cooking that Sunday (maybe Monday, we'll see how the schedule shapes up) and I might do a rack or two of Thai glazed babyback ribs if we feel like we want that.

    Every time my elbow bends my mouth flies open.

    About 10 pounds of pork butt and then 3 spatchcocked yard birds once the butts are done and temp of Egg climbs.

    8.5# picnic and 8.5# lightly trimmed brisket flat.  Friend is bringing ribs, so hopefully we'll have enough to feed 18 people!
